Project summary:

The internship focuses on the following topics of Zlin Region’s interest:

a) Lessons learnt from the transformation process of residential care

b) Inspiration from the Social and Legal protection of children system of Iceland

c) Hand-on experience from local service providers, specialised in services which shall be newly launched in the Zlin Region by organisations undergoing transformation

d) Gain of methods used in Icelandic practice of Social and Legal Protection of children

e) Gain of information from service contractors in Iceland (municipalities)

Project Activities:

Internship in Iceland

Realization of a 4-day long international internship with the aim to gain knowledge and experience from the foreign partner regarding social and legal practice of care for children and youth at risk.

General goal:

The global goal of this cooperation is developing partnership between institutions from the Czech Republic and their counterparts and other organisations in donor countries.

Specific goal:

Exchange of experience and transfer of best practices between participants to the internship and their counterparts who would be visited under coordination of the partner Barnaverndarstofa  / Government Agency for Child Protection

Project outputs:

Participation to educating activities (seminars, workshops, networking activities) – 13 people

Target group:

Employees of the Zlin Region, employees of institutions ran by the Zlin Region and other cooperating professionals active in the field of Social and Legal Protection of Children

Current phase:

The project proposal has been approved by the Managing Authority.
