Council of the Zlín Region

The Council of the Zlín Region is the Region’s executive body.

It suggests for proposals and agenda to be discussed at the Assembly's sessions; is entitled to ensure and supervise the execution of the Region's budget; appoint and dismiss heads of departments; set up commissions; issue regional regulations; make decisions concerning legal actions pertaining to property rights, etc.

The Council of the Zlín Region consists of 9 members elected by the Assembly from the Representatives. These are: the Governor, Deputy Governors, and Councillors. Each of the Council members is responsible for a particular area, such as investments, education, culture etc.

Under relevant law, the Council’s sessions cannot be attended by the public.
